Traditional signing tools
Prove a signing workflow occurred.
Proves whether the document someone holds is still the registered Only-Version.
SAIFE Only-Version Documents are designed for an AI world where files can be copied, rewritten, exported, forwarded, renamed, and made to look official. SAIFE creates a patented document integrity layer around the file itself so recipients can verify whether what they received is the registered original, a SAIFE Certified Copy, an altered copy, a possible imposter, or unknown.
Many trusted systems prove that something happened around a document: a signature, a witness event, a custody event, a timestamp, a stored artifact, or a version commit. SAIFE Only-Version Documents focus on the harder open-world question: whether the document someone is holding right now can still be trusted as the legitimate registered version.
SAIFE does not claim that every document’s contents are universally, legally, or morally true. Instead, SAIFE establishes provenance, identity, fingerprints, certificate proof, registry proof, activity, and verification continuity around the registered artifact.
Only-Version can preserve binary proof, canonical content proof, extracted text proof, metadata signals, certified-copy markers, certificate records, and recipient verification results.
Only-Version is not positioned as a hostile replacement for signing, storage, notarial, evidence, or verification platforms. It can operate as an authenticity upgrade layer they could adopt, license, embed, or OEM.
Third-party categories and examples are discussed only to explain market context. SAIFE Only-Version is designed as a standalone, patented document authenticity lifecycle layer that can also enhance many existing document ecosystems.
Prove a signing workflow occurred.
Proves whether the document someone holds is still the registered Only-Version.
Prove a witnessing or attestation event occurred.
Adds continuous file, content, certificate, registry, and ledger verification after registration.
Prove identity or key trust for a technical relationship.
Applies trust directly to the document lifecycle, recipient verification, and certified copies.
Prove custody and storage continuity.
Lets third parties verify the artifact they received against living document truth.
Prove timestamp anchoring or immutable proof events.
Connects proof to document understanding, certification, activity, and verification outcomes.
Prove change history inside a controlled repository.
Works as a document authenticity layer for real-world files sent outside controlled systems.
The patent-backed concept is not merely “store a file” or “sign a file.” It is an end-to-end document integrity system: import, read, contextualize, serialize, fingerprint, certify, package, ledger, distribute, and verify.
AI has made document manipulation easier, faster, and harder to visually detect. The future will not be won by asking whether a PDF looks official. It will be won by asking whether the artifact can prove its authenticity lineage.
It can stand alone as a public product, power enterprise document integrity, and operate as an OEM authenticity upgrade for existing document, signing, storage, legal, compliance, and evidence platforms.
